TCU Selection 2025 PDF The First Round of Undergraduate Admissions for the 2025–2026 academic year has been successfully concluded, and the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) would like to notify the public, Higher Learning Institutions, and other stakeholders in education, both inside and outside of Tanzania. The identities of the applicants accepted in this round have been made public by the individual universities.
In this First Round:
- Across 88 recognized institutions and universities, 146,879 applicants filed their applications.
- This year, 894 undergraduate programs were available, an increase of 38 programs over the 856 programs offered during the 2024–2025 academic year.
- This year, there are 205,652 entry spots available, up 6,666 (or around 3.3% growth) over the 198,986 slots available last year.
- Approximately 79.4% of all applicants, or 116,596 people, were accepted into the universities to which they applied.
- It is anticipated that more students would be admitted during the Second Round of admissions.

Applicants Admitted to More Than One University
Between September 3rd and September 21st, 2025, applicants who have been accepted to many universities must confirm their acceptance to just one of those institutions.
How to confirm your admission:
- Utilize the unique confirmation code that was emailed or texted to you during the application process.
- Log in to the university’s admissions portal where you applied and ask for the confirmation code if you haven’t received it yet.
- The same account that was used to submit the application should be used to finish the confirmation.

Opening of the Second Round of Admissions 2025/2026
Additionally, TCU declares that the Second Round of Undergraduate Admissions will take place from September 3rd to September 21st, 2025, for the school year 2025–2026.
This is a great opportunity for:
- Applicants who missed the First Round to submit their applications.
- Applicants who were not selected in the First Round to apply again.
The list of programs with open spots must be made public by universities. Candidates should carefully read over these programs and adhere to the TCU website’s Second Round admissions standards.
