Job Brief:

To manage our complete fleet of automobiles, we are seeking a Fleet Manager. This individual will be in charge of making sure our fleet is kept up to date and operating efficiently. Additionally, they will be in charge of liaising with our drivers to ensure that they are following our safety regulations.

Fleet Manager Duties:

  • Oversee and care for the company’s fleet of automobiles, making sure they are maintained, serviced, and repaired as necessary.
  • Encourage the lucrative, safe, and effective usage of business cars.
  • Control the gasoline budget for the business.
  • Work with other departments to coordinate the demands for vehicles and equipment to guarantee proper upkeep and use.
  • Oversee the purchasing, upkeep, and disposal of rental cars.

Fleet Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company’s automobile fleet, including maintenance, insurance, repairs, leasing, and new car purchases.
  • Keep up with all government reporting requirements and submit the relevant paperwork, such as W-2s, 1099s, and auto registrations.
  • Keep track of vehicle inspection records.
  • Find the finest lease terms, lease kinds, and vehicle accessories by researching and negotiating car purchases.
  • Boost client relationships and the company’s reputation
  • Encourage business promotional activities, such as staff fundraising, company picnics, and events honoring customers.
  • Encourage and put into effect company-wide car safety regulations.
  • Examine and put into effect new cost-cutting strategies, such as gasoline purchases, auto insurance, and preventative maintenance plans.

Requirements And Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, management, business, or a similar discipline
  • Two or more years of fleet management experience
  • Familiarity with replacing, repairing, and maintaining fleets
  • Capacity to create long-term fleet plans
  • Outstanding abilities in client service
  • Familiarity with management information systems
