Key Responsibilities:
- A variety of mechanical equipment, including as pumps, conveyors, winders, compressors, refrigeration systems, fans, dosing systems, and overhead cranes, must be operated, inspected, maintained, and repaired safely.
- Verify adherence to operational guidelines, safety standards, and shaft maintenance laws.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on machinery such rock breakers, conveyor belts, monopumps, Scamont pumps, and Warman pumps.
- Conduct component testing, rope cutting, and attachments, as well as daily and weekly winder system checks.
- Refrigeration plant maintenance includes oil filter changes, motor balancing, and condenser, evaporator, and ammonia system maintenance.
- Replace cooling tower parts, troubleshoot dosing systems, and maintain centrifugal and screw compressors.
- Perform brake settings and inspect and fix CCT fan gearboxes, hubs, bearings, and spider rings.
Qualifications:
- Form IV certificate (Ordinary Level).
- Fitter Full Technical Certificate (FTC) from a recognized institution.
- Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Mining industry experience will be an added advantage.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
