A competent applicant is needed for the position of Information System Auditor at DCB Commercial Bank Plc, a fully operational retail and commercial bank in Tanzania. Through a vast network of more than nine branches, more than 700 DCB Wakala Agents, and more than 280 Umoja switch ATMs, the bank provides banking services to over 3 million customers, including individuals, small and medium-sized businesses (MSME), microfinance, and major corporate clients. This position is primarily concerned with identifying risks related to company objectives, assessing controls to reduce those risks, and enhancing the efficacy of governance, control, and risk management procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Take part in initial client meetings to outline the goals and parameters of the audit engagement and to give a rundown of each stage of the audit procedure.
- Gain a comprehensive grasp of the business processes covered by the audits you have been assigned, and record them in process narratives and/or flowcharts.
- Determine and record the controls and risks that are a part of the business processes.
- Help the ICT auditor determine the risks and data analytics needs for the engagement.
- Prepare working papers and conduct audit tests in compliance with IA methodology and professional IIA standards.
- Make useful and applicable suggestions to fix process inefficiencies and/or control flaws.
- To effectively convey findings and recommendations to the branch/department and top management, assist in creating succinct and educational audit reports.
Background Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in computer science, data science, business with information technology, computer engineering, or a similar discipline with a GPA of at least 3.5.
- 0–2 years of internal auditing experience.
- An additional benefit is having professional certifications like CISA, CRISC, CEH, or CISM.
- Strong communication abilities.
- The capacity to analyze risk, evaluate it, and put remedies in place.
- An additional benefit is having knowledge of data analytics and Teammate Audit software.
